Solar Panel Installation

Harness the power of the sun

There are two types of solar panels – thermal and photovoltaic (or PV as it is commonly called). Solar PV is what we at Helios Energy specialise in. We install solar panels onto the roof of a property so they can catch the sun’s energy and convert it into electricity.

The Process

Stage 1 - FREE Assessment and Quote Stage 1 - FREE Assessment and Quote A member of our team will visit your property to talk through your requirements and design a solar PV system that best suits your needs.
Stage 2 – Quality assurance and safety Stage 2 – Quality assurance and safety We will install a solar panel mounting system on your roof to support the panels and ensure they will be correctly positioned to achieve maximum sunlight exposure.
Stage 3 – Install and test Stage 3 – Install and test This is the phase where we install the actual panels and inverter, and then connect everything together in a system specially designed for your property.
Stage 4 – Switch on Stage 4 – Switch on You’re off! With everything tested and working you can start generating your own electricity, save money and save the planet.

Why Solar Energy?

Financial Benefits

There are many benefits of installing solar PV but the obvious one is reduced energy bills.

Although, the Government closed the Feed in Tariff in 2019, they launched a new benefits scheme in 2020 called the Smart Export Guarantee. This means that the big energy companies are required to offer payments for the electricity you generate, but don’t use. Our team can advise you how best to cash in on this.

Environmental Benefits

Solar PV is the ultimate when it comes to environmentally friendly energy solutions. It reduces air pollution as it doesn’t require the burning of fossil fuels; it uses less water (PV doesn’t need water to cool generators, processing and refining fuel and transporting fuel through pipes); it’s renewable as we can’t run out of sun; and it doesn’t generate noise pollution.

It’s thought that a typical home solar PV system could save over 1.5 tonnes of carbon per year (depending where you live). Furthermore, a solar PV system doesn’t generate any waste because it doesn’t require maintenance and its lifespan is far longer than other energy-production systems.

How it works

Depending on what inverter you have installed, we can provide you access to a specially designed manufacturer app that allows you to check you solar PV is working and easily identifies faults.
